On January 14, 2025, members of the Austin County Westside Narcotics Task Force received information of an unidentified male attempting to sell a multi kilogram amounts of crystal methamphetamine. During the investigation, WNTF partnered with Houston P.D. narcotics to conduct an undercover operation in the Houston metropolitan area. The undercover operation resulted in the seizure of 40.5 kilograms of crystal methamphetamine, the seizure of 3 semi-automatic pistols, and the arrest of Armando ROSAS-Espino.
The Westside Narcotics Task Force covers five counties and is comprised of investigators from the Austin County Sheriff’s Office, Bellville PD, Sealy PD, Hempstead PD, Waller County Sheriff’s Office, Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Colorado County Sheriff’s Office, Lavaca County Sheriff’s Office and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration
